Mags Out, Eye Pro On, MEDs

As Thumpy, of Thumpy’s 3-D House of Airsoft, has said, “Airsoft is a game of trust.”

In past articles, I’ve touched lightly on the issue of safety.  During the past few games I’ve attended, I’ve taken it upon myself to make sure that people are following the correct safety measures when hanging out in the parking lot, entering the field, or engaging each other in firefights, but a few incidents I saw today at Red Fox made me realize that I should probably go into a bit more detail with it.

Allow me to begin by saying that, despite the high regard the AOSC has shown me the past month, I am not an AOSC representative.  I’m merely a volunteer photographer who shows up to games to take pictures, because who doesn’t like to see themselves in action?  My point is that making sure that you and the players around you are being safe isn’t simply a job for admins or event staff.  Admins can’t be everywhere at once, and they don’t see everything that goes on.  Oftentimes they’re busy with running the event and making sure the game goes down without too many problems.
